Prime Medical College
Prime Medical College is to provide medical education that leads to a recognized medical degree. The college started its journey in the 2008-2009 session with 50 students and became affiliated with Rajshahi University on November 1, 2010. It was recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) on June 6, 2010. The first professional MBBS exam under Rajshahi University took place in July 2010 after students completed two years of study.
Currently, the college is in its 15th batch of students.
Due to its strong academic performance, the Ministry of Health and Rajshahi University approved an increase in student capacity from 50 to 135. The college now has a new
seven-story academic building with 28,000 square feet of space on each floor, along with ample parking. All departments are located within the college building, which includes tutorial classrooms, laboratories, a museum, offices, a library, a conference room, and lecture halls. The attached hospital, PMCH, is a tertiary care facility that provides excellent training for students, junior doctors, and paramedics. With a capacity of 750 beds, the hospital is well-equipped and offers quality healthcare to the public at reasonable prices, with dedicated staff focused on excellence and service.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Prime Medical Medical College
Indian students should follow the NMC (MCI) guidelines to study MBBS in Bangladesh. Here’s what you need:
● Passed 10th and 12th grades from a recognized board.
● At least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
● At least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year.
● Must have passed the NEET UG exam in the admission year.

About Campus
Prime Medical College is a seven-story building that houses all administrative and academic activities. It is a spacious facility with a modern design and offers all the essential amenities of a quality medical education institution. The college building looks very attractive, with each floor having about 25,000 square feet of space. There is a sufficient number of teachers and staff to support the students, and the college can accommodate around 150 students each year.
The college has four large, fully air-conditioned lecture halls equipped with multimedia and a digital sound system. In addition to these, there are tutorial rooms and practical classrooms connected to the respective departments. The Anatomy dissection hall has enough cadavers for students to practice dissection. Laboratories for various subjects, including Pathology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology, are well-equipped to support students' learning.
